The Mechanical Design Engineering is continues to lead and expand its activities in various directions such as Research Product Development etc. The Department is known for research and projects in the area of Trailer Design, RPD, CFD, fluid dynamics, cryogenics, CAD-CAM and other areas. Experimental and computational facilities are being continuously upgraded. Industry interaction has been increased with postgraduate courses being offered to industry participants, and many students working in industry-sponsored projects. Thus there is an urgent need to produce quality engineers who can conceive and develop the design.
